Three situations make up most of our Darien calls. First, winter rodents: cold weather drives mice and rats indoors, and snow cover hides the gaps they use along foundations and garage thresholds.
A mouse needs only a 1/4-inch opening; a rat needs 1/2 inch. We track activity, trap, and seal.
Second, storm damage: tornadoes and severe windstorms tear open rooflines and soffits, and we follow up with exclusion work before wildlife or insects move in. Third, seasonal invasions in fall stink bugs and cluster flies pressing against sunny siding.
Here is how a typical visit runs:
We confirm the pest activity before the appointment so we bring the right equipment.
We inspect the foundation, attic, and utility areas, including gaps hidden under snow line.
We treat and seal, then schedule monitoring-station follow-ups.
One self-check: walk your foundation after the snow melts and look for gaps where siding meets concrete. If you spot openings wider than a pencil, call (855) 681-0299.
